If you're reading this, Ms. Wilson, which I don't think you are, try and give that stuff to me ASAP. Thanks!

IMPORTANT ANNOUCMENT

We need your help!!!!!! If you have any accessories (sunglasses, etc) please, please, please, please give them to Anna G. Her group needs them for the stage. Thanks!

Interview with the video group

Today I talked to the video group and found out what they are doing. Here are the results:
They said they are currently working on figuring out who to interview. Some shooters (filmer people) are filming. They are also looking at footage (they have a lot of it) and using iMovie to edit it. The editors are doing the bigger part of the work today. I have some pictures of them working, and I'll post them soon.

We're back from break!

It's good (or is it?!) to be back at school after a whole week off. I, personally, woke up at 7:30 this morning, got dressed and ate breakfast, then went back to bed until it was time to leave. :) AND I'm still tired. So, back to the play. Today an interview was conducted with two members of the orchestra ( Noah P. on the clarinet and Erik B. on the trumpet). They said that the band is working on preforming the first song, which Erik thinks is "Slave to Fashion". Mrs. G. is the teacher "supervisor" for their group. Noah is associate to Mrs. G. and Erik is Mr. Stanley's assistant. Everyone is the group plays a different instrument, and they have other jobs like being assistants to the teachers.
The tech group is continuing to work on the website and program.
Hopefully the website will be posted soon (VERY soon). Or will it... We'll just have to wait and see. I sure hope that we can finish all this in time!

New information from: Mr. Gnutek

Mr. Gnutek is working with a group of students to create the costumes, set, and the new addition to the stage. In the past few days, his group has assembled the final prop list, gotten the measurements for the set, and is ready to start building. They may work on painting during break, but will probably start when we get back.
After break, they will mostly be working on building the props, stage, and set. If they don't have time to paint during break, they will also be doing that after break.
In response to the question Are there any other exciting/interesting things about your job?, Mr. Gnutek said, "I get to see the creative process in action."
Lastly, Mr. Gnutek said that he likes his job because he gets to know each student really well, and interact more in the art form.
Hopefully, pictures of his group in action will be posted soon!

We're actually making progress!

These are just a couple of pictures from the run through last Monday. The top two are of Emma, who plays the kid in the play. The third from the top is also Emma, and Ms. Wilson, in case you didn't know. The bottom picture is of the mom and dad in the play. Today is the last day before Mid-winter break, so we won't be doing any work on the play next week, because we'll be on break. Today, we burned C.D.s for the cast to listen to over break.
The program is also in progress, and we are considering selling adds to local businesses to make some money, but we're not sure. Since there is a break, the blog won't be updated until the Monday that we get back from break!

Getting started

We started work on the play last Monday, with a read-through of the script by the cast. On Tuesday, everyone started their individual jobs. If you have any questions about where you need to be, you can check the call board outside Ms. McKenna's room. The website is in progress, and so is finding a logo for the play. When the website is posted online, we'll post it on the blog. So far, dates and times of the show, ticket prices, and the phone number to call to purchase tickets have been added to the website. If you have anything you want to be posted on the website, contact Mia. Pictures will also be posted soon!
